Porta Potty Placement Checklist
Eight checks that let the driver drop the unit in minutes, and keep neighbors and guests happy.

Where is the best place to put a porta potty?
The best place for a porta potty is a flat, firm spot within about 25 feet of where the truck can park, with the door facing the guests or crew and away from the neighbors. Driveways, side yards, gravel pads and paved lots work best. Soft or sloped ground does not.
The 8-point checklist
- Level ground. A unit on a slope can tip or leak. Pick the flattest spot.
- Truck access. The truck needs to stop within about 25 feet. Trailers need a 10-foot path.
- Gates and codes. Leave gates unlocked on delivery and service days, or text the code.
- Overhead. Look up for low wires and branches along the truck path.
- Underground. Keep the unit off septic lids, sprinkler heads and fresh sod.
- Distance. Put it about 25 to 50 feet from food and seating, but close enough to find.
- Light. For evening events, hang a lantern or string lights near the door.
- Rules. Check HOA covenants. Streets and sidewalks need city approval.
Do I need to be home?
You do not need to be home. Mark the spot with a cone, chalk or a chair, or text a photo with an arrow. Ask for a 30-minute heads-up call if you want to meet the driver.

Questions about this rental
Can the porta potty face the street?
The porta potty can face any direction you like. Most homeowners turn the door toward the house or the yard for privacy from the street.
Will the truck damage my driveway?
Our delivery trucks are built for residential driveways. Tell us about fresh concrete or pavers that are less than a month old so we place the unit beside them instead.
